About Us
Come and Play Pre-School, located in Hazlemere, High Wycombe, is dedicated to providing a nurturing and educational environment for your child’s early learning journey. Our preschool is run by a team of experienced professionals, supported by an active parent committee. We take great pride in our commitment to delivering quality childcare and fostering a sense of community among our families.
Our Team
Our dedicated team consists of five experienced staff members who bring a wealth of expertise to our preschool. They work tirelessly to create a safe and engaging learning environment for your child. In addition to our staff, our preschool is supported by a parent committee, comprising a Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary, and not less than 2 nor more than 9 other elected members. This enthusiastic committee plays a crucial role in organising fundraising events and assisting with administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of Come and Play Pre-School.
Our Commitment
At Come and Play Pre-School, we are proud of our excellent reputation. In our most recent Ofsted inspection in October 2023, we received an overall rating of “good” reflecting our dedication to providing quality early education. We believe in transparency and community involvement, holding our Annual General Meeting during the Autumn term, which welcomes all parents to participate. Our preschool follows the Pre-School Learning Alliance Constitution, offering membership to all parents, guardians, and interested individuals engaged in our activities.
Supporting Our Mission
As a non-profit organisation, we rely on the support of our community to maintain and enhance our services. While our daily expenses are covered by Bucks County Council funding and fees, we are grateful for the active involvement of parents in our fundraising efforts. This support enables us to continually update equipment, perform necessary repairs, and uphold our high standards of care and learning.
Our Affiliations
Come and Play Pre-School is registered with The Bucks Early Years Partnership and Ofsted, and we are proud members of the Early Years Alliance. We strictly adhere to guidance issued by the local Health Protection Agency to ensure the well-being of all children in our care. To maintain a high level of interactive care and learning, we maintain a favorable staff-to-child ratio: 1 adult for every 4 children aged 2 years and 1 adult for every 8 children aged 3-5 years. Our commitment to your child’s development and well-being is at the heart of everything we do.
